The information provided in our Terms and Conditions ("T&Cs") serves as a legally binding agreement between you, the client, and Styling5. By booking a service, purchasing a product, or otherwise engaging with our brand, you agree to be bound by these terms. While we make every effort to ensure a positive and professional experience, we are not liable for any personal preferences, subjective opinions, or results that do not meet an individuals specific, uncommunicated expectations. We encourage you to review this document carefully to understand your rights and our obligations. This disclaimer does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Understanding Our Terms & Conditions
Think of our T&Cs as the rulebook for our business relationship. They are designed to protect both you and us by setting clear expectations and ensuring a smooth, transparent, and fair process. Our goal is to prevent misunderstandings and provide a clear framework for everything from booking and payments to how we handle cancellations and what happens if something doesn't go as planned.
These terms are not meant to be confusing. We've written them in plain language to ensure you know what you're agreeing to every step of the way. If you ever have a question, we are always available to clarify any part of this document.

Please be advised that all services and products provided by Styling5 are subject to the following terms and conditions. While we strive for your complete satisfaction, results from hair services can vary based on individual hair type, history, and aftercare. We are not responsible for results that do not meet subjective expectations. By receiving services or purchasing products from our salon, you acknowledge and accept these terms. This disclaimer does not affect your statutory rights.
Refund Policy
At Styling5, your satisfaction is our priority. We want you to feel confident and happy with your hair, and we're committed to resolving any concerns you may have.
Services
If you are unsatisfied with your hair service, please contact us within 7 days of your original appointment. This allows us to assess your hair and determine the best course of action. We will gladly offer a complimentary adjustment or in some circumstances, a partial refund for the service if we feel it is our responsibility. Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will not be granted for a change of mind or if the hair was not cared for as instructed by the stylist.
Products
You may return unopened and unused products for a full refund or exchange within 14 days of the original purchase date. A receipt must be presented to process the return. Opened or used products cannot be refunded unless they are found to be defective.
No-Show and Late Cancellation Policy
We understand that sometimes life gets in the way. However, we ask that you please provide us with at least 24 hours for cutting or styling services or 48 hours for colouring services, notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Clients who do not show up for their appointment or cancel with less than 24/48 hours' notice may be charged a fee of up to 50% of the service cost.

Skin Testing and Allergy Policy
Your custom is important to us, but your health and safety always come first at Styling 5.
For any client receiving a hair colour service, we strictly adhere to a mandatory skin sensitivity test (patch test) policy. This test is required by law and by our insurance to prevent severe allergic reactions.
* Requirement: We use professional Joico colour products. A skin test must be performed by a Styling 5 staff member at our salon at least 48 hours (and no more than 7 days) before your scheduled colour appointment.
* Responsibility: It is the client's responsibility to attend the salon for the required skin test prior to the 48-hour deadline. You must inform your stylist of any past reactions to hair colorants, known allergies, or recent changes to your health or medication.
* Waiver of Test: We will not proceed with any colour service if the mandatory skin test has not been completed within the required timeframe.
* Failure to Comply: If you fail to attend the mandatory skin test and arrive for your scheduled colour appointment, we will be unable to proceed with the colour service. In this event, you will be charged 50% of the scheduled colour service fee to cover the loss of the reserved appointment time. We can, however, offer you alternative services (like a haircut or blow-dry) if time permits.
By booking a colour service with Styling 5, you acknowledge and accept this skin testing policy.
Deposit Policy for Colour Services
Due to the significant time commitment and preparation required for our bespoke colour services, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment.
1. Deposit Requirement
* A 50% deposit of the total estimated service bill is required at the time of booking all hair colour appointments.
* The estimated bill is based on the colour services you book (e.g., highlights, balayage, full colour) and does not include any additional services (e.g., haircut, conditioning treatments) added on the day.
* This deposit will be credited toward your final bill on the day of your appointment.
2. Cancellation and Rescheduling
* If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide us with at least 48 hours' notice.
* With Sufficient Notice (48+ hours): Your deposit will be transferred to secure your rescheduled appointment.
* Without Sufficient Notice (Less than 48 hours) or No-Show: The deposit is non-refundable and will be retained by Styling 5 to cover the loss of the reserved appointment time. A new 50% deposit will be required to book any future colour services.
3. Adjustments and Changes
* If you arrive for your appointment and wish to significantly change the service to one that takes less time (e.g., changing from a full balayage to a simple root touch-up), you may still be charged a portion of the original service fee, as the time slot was reserved specifically for the longer service. The deposit will be applied based on the original booking.
By securing your colour appointment with a deposit, you are confirming your agreement to these terms.
